Throughout our history, Riley & Co has sought to gain accreditations that we feel not only benefit us as a
company but will also be advantageous to our clients.
All our operatives are registered under the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS).
This ensures that
appropriate skill levels and qualifications are attained, recorded and reviewed on a continuous basis.
We held the CSCS Platinum Certificate of Commitment since 2005 showing our continued commitment to
the scheme before CSCS abolished the company awards a few years ago.
We have been members of the Painting and Decorating Association (PDA) since 1991 when it was then the
British Decorators’ Association. The PDA is Britain's largest trade body dedicated to the painting and
decorating trade. It oversee's that its members are committed to the highest standards in quality of
workmanship, health and safety practice, as well as training development of their workforce.
We joined Construction Line in 2004. This is a national online database and is the UK's largest register for
pre-qualified contractors and consultants. Its aim is to improve efficiencies for buyers and suppliers in the construction industry.
This specifically helps in the reduction and duplication of work and administration relating to the process of pre-qualifying suppliers for construction contracts.
In 2014, we achieved the Safecontractor accreditation, which we have upheld to the present day, the scheme independently assesses companies on their health & safety practices and compliance.
Riley & Co have taken the decision not to renew our Investors in People Accreditation that we had continually upheld since 2004.
This is due to the high re-assessment costs, which we feel would be better spent investing in our employees, while we continue to maintain our procedures in line with the IiP standard.
Having been members of the Dulux Trade Contract Partnership since the beginning of the scheme, we have taken the decision to withdraw from the partnership, as a company that strives to deliver the most cost effective solutions for our client’s projects, we feel that we cannot affiliate to one paint manufacturer.
